Why choose a refillable vape?

Refillable vape kits give you more control and value. Instead of pre-filled disposables or sealed pods, you use bottles of e-liquid to top up your pod or tank. That means a wider choice of flavours and nicotine strengths, lower long-term cost and less waste. Here’s what most customers like:

How refillable pods work

The mechanics are straightforward — knowing the parts makes refilling and maintenance easier. Most refillable pod systems contain these elements:

• Pod or tank: This is the removable cartridge that holds e-liquid. Refillable pods have a fill port or removable mouthpiece for refilling.
• Coil/atomiser: A small replaceable or built-in heating element with a wick (usually cotton). When electricity flows through the coil it heats the liquid-soaked wick and produces vapour.
• Battery/mod: The power source that sends current to the coil. Some kits have buttons and wattage control, others are draw-activated.
• Airflow and mouthpiece: Adjustable airflow affects vapour volume and warmth; the mouthpiece shapes the draw.

Step-by-step: refilling a refillable pod

1. Remove the pod: Detach the pod from the device (follow the kit’s instructions).
2. Open the fill port: Most pods have a rubber plug, flip cap or top cap to access the fill hole.
3. Fill slowly: Insert the e-liquid nozzle into the fill hole and squeeze gently — avoid overfilling.
4. Reassemble: Replace the plug or cap, insert the pod back into the device and make sure it sits securely.
5. Prime if needed: If you fitted a new coil, add a few drops to the exposed cotton and wait 5–10 minutes for the wick to soak. This prevents dry hits and burnt taste.
6. Start slow: Take a couple of gentle puffs to draw liquid into the coil before vaping at full power.

Tip: If your pod leaks, check the seals and avoid getting liquid in the airflow channels. Replacing worn O-rings or a tired coil usually fixes most issues.

E-liquid, nicotine and compatibility

Not all e-liquids are identical. The two main bases are:

• Freebase nicotine e-liquids — common in higher-power devices and for vapers who prefer lower nicotine strengths (e.g. 3–12mg).
• Nicotine salts — smoother throat hit at higher concentrations, commonly used in low-power pod systems and for those switching from strong cigarettes.

Check your device recommendations for coil resistance and whether it’s suited to freebase or nic salts. If in doubt, start at a lower nicotine strength and adjust until it feels comfortable.
