The heated tobacco unit contains a specially processed tobacco plug designed for heating, not for traditional smoking. This tobacco plug is crafted from tobacco leaves that undergo grinding and reconstitution to form tobacco sheets known as cast-leaf.

The holder, which accommodates the heated tobacco unit, employs an electronically controlled heating blade to heat the tobacco.
