Upon completing the heated tobacco unit, it can be safely discarded in a waste bin after removal from the holder. Following each session, the user replenishes the holder's energy by inserting it into the charger.

The heated tobacco unit contains a specially processed tobacco plug designed for heating, not for traditional smoking. This tobacco plug is crafted from tobacco leaves that undergo grinding and reconstitution to form tobacco sheets known as cast-leaf.

The holder, which accommodates the heated tobacco unit, employs an electronically controlled heating blade to heat the tobacco. Simultaneously, this blade raises the tobacco's temperature to a maximum of 350°C while closely monitoring the temperature to maintain a consistent flavour profile and prevent combustion. Furthermore, the holder incorporates a safeguard mechanism to deactivate itself in the event of overheating.

The heating blade within the holder supplies warmth to the heated tobacco unit for a duration of either six minutes or 14 inhalations, depending on which limit is reached first.

After each use of the original three-component heating system with the small battery-equipped holder, recharging is necessary. This is achieved by connecting the holder to the charger. In the case of the combined version, charging is required after ten uses. The charger itself can be recharged through household electrical outlets.
