With technologies that allow automatic checks against public data sources, we are now able to quickly and accurately check that each customer is old enough to be purchasing e-liquids, CBD and other vaping and age-controlled products.
With the current climate of data protection, we would like to make sure all of our customers are aware that we, 888 Vapour, do not access or see any of this extra data, and can still only see what you have inputted into our website directly.
The information you provide to 1account will likely be one of the following;
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your name
- Your address
1account check this data against the Edited Electoral Register, mobile networks, KYC (Know Your Customer) API and their own Verified Userbase (assuming you already have a verified account with them.) Once you've been approved once, you should never need to be approved again, including on other sites that also use 1account Age Verification.
We understand that there may be some doubts and it is an extra step in the checkout process. We kindly remind our customers that is a one-off step, designed to protect minors from age-restricted products.
